A few weeks ago, P and I went to Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA and I scored a bottle of this:
They only had 1 bottle left of this bottle conditioned sour Belgian ale left and knew we had to get it. A year or two in the cellar would have made this bad boy pretty magical but it was still quite solid as-is. It has a golden, orange ethereal hue on pouring that just looks crazy. Fairly sour with notes of pickled fruit, but with a nice "contrabasso" of sweetness (Haughty Dipshit alert! That's me!) Sorry about the titties on the bottle if you got kids! But if your kids are reading this, you probably have other problems. I would love to get another bottle to cellar but this stuff is hard to find, I'll have to see next time I got to Princeton or New Hope.
Also got some nice ass cheeses. Damn, why didn't you tell me this motherfuckin' cheese was this good!
This week it's No Woman Cow's Milk Cheese from Beecher's in Seattle (and also Flatiron in the city, apparently) along with Cropwell Bishop White Stilton with Cranberries from Nottinghamshire in merry-old England.

We had a chance to go back to Deccan Spice so I could try the Natu Kodi Dum Biryani which they only make on the weekends. I was not disappointed.
There's a half-chicken under that rice that's been stewing in a serious spice game for decent amount of time. In the middle is a hard-boiled egg fried in gram flour; like a Scottish egg type deal, but without the extra accoutrements. This biryani was SPICY which was nice but also unexpected. I am not a pussy when it comes to spicy foods, but there was some definite heat involved. That raita they serve it with is necessary to cool off some of the heat. This dish was incredible. Between the severe spice level and 8 or 9 bottles of wine, the endorphins were kicking and had me in the zone. I honestly felt high. I would definitely recommend this dish and go back for it.
Looking forward to this weekend where we are going to try the tasting menu at David Burke's Fromagerie in Rumson. Should be a blast and looking forward to eating, drinking and writing about it.
In closing, here is a sweet Nas/Eve/Aaliyah remix from yours truly from the mixtape AQUI
Feel free to follow, comment, harass or just float around like some type of geist. Bless!
